    e-harbours presents at Sustainability Day
    “What does a climate neutral Zaanstad in 2020 look like and what role do you play in it as an entrepreneur? You too can get started with energy and sustainability in our crowded and industrial environment. The event Duurzaan2011 helps you to explore the possibilities.” This is the teaser text of the local Sustainability Day in Zaanstad.     Climate Congress Netherlands
    The Climate Congress Netherlands is the national on the Climate Change Issue. It is organised by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment. Local and regional governments are invited, as well as the Dutch Climate Alliance, representing regional Water boards, Provinces and Municipalities.  Of course the e-harbours team is present with a stand to present the first results of the e-harbours showcases.     e-harbours presents at Energy Cafe
    The Amsterdam Metropolitan Area (AMA) wants to increase the amount of locally produced renewables. To boost the dissemination of knowledge, a new initiative is taking place: the Energy Café. The Energy Café brings together people who are directly or indirectly related to the energy transition. The first session will address the topic of Smart Grids. Being part of the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area, the e-harbours partner Zaanstad will be presenting the first results of their e-harbours ShowCase.

    GreenPort Congress
    Autumn 2011 started with a e-harbours project meeting connected to the GreenPort Congress in Hamburg. The e-harbours project is an official part of the conference programme and Mr. Hans Schäfers will present the project on the session “The role of ports as facilitators in the logistics chain”.     International e-harbours project launch
    On April 14th 2011 the e-harbours project was officially launched at Stuurboord in Antwerp. About 70 people gathered for the launch on a cloudy but inspiring day.     Interaction workshop experts – showcases
    At the 22nd of March an ‘interaction workshop: experts – showcases e-harbours’ was held in the harbour of Antwerp. During this meeting a panel of experts on different aspects of virtual power plants and electric mobility shared their views on these topics, and answered questions from the organizations working on the showcases.
